31 Days of Prayer for My Children: Day 5

Generosity

God,
Help me teach my children generosity.

You should be generous because:
- it's all God's anyway (Psa 24:1, Levi 25:23, Hag 2:8, 1 Cor 4:2)
- God is generous (John 3:16, Rom 8:32-33, 1 Tim 6:17)
- money isn't everything (Mark 10:25)
- it counteracts greed (Luke 12:15-17,19-21,23)
- our heart follows our money (Matt 6:19-21, Luke 12:34)
- if you seek God, He takes care of the rest (Luke 12:31)

God, my prayer today is that my children have a spirit of generosity. I pray they put the needs of others before their own. I rebuke selfishness and a self seeking attitude. Use them to touch the lives of others. Use them to find and meet the felt need of your most needy children.
