31 Days of Prayer for My Children: Day 19

Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Lord, I pray my children not conform to the world. Father, help me to cultivate the talents you give them. Help me to not overlook your plans for their lives as I push them towards the goals I have set for them.

Thank you Kerri Beth for tonight's inspiration. Thank you for reminding me to measure my children's success by God's measure...not mine!

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephes 2:10)

31 Days of Prayer for My Children: Day 18

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God, give my children joy. I pray that during times of stress, during times of loneliness and despair, during times of anger and confusion, God be their Joy!!

31 Days of Prayer for My children: Day 17

Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known unto God. (1 Thes 1:6)

Be still and know that I am God.(Psalm 46:10)

Lord, I pray that my children not be anxious. Lord help me learn to relax more so that I may be an example. I pray that they place their anxiety and concern in your nail scarred hands.

31 Days of Prayer for My Children: Day 16

Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge. Psalm 16:1

Lord, there is so much violence in the world, and when I stop to think about it, I am overwelmed.

Keep them physically safe in your loving arms; please guard their hearts!

31 Days of Prayer for My Children: Day 14

Lord, let our mouths be guarded in this home to set an example for our children.

Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation if my heart be pleasing in your site.

Children today can be so cruel. They are criticized, attacked, and bullied. Lord let my children learn to guard their mouths. Lord help me teach them to show self restraint and speak with kind words in all situations.

31 Days of Prayer for My Children: Day 13

Simplicity is the absence of deceit; it is freedom from pretentiousness.

Simplicity is opposed to fleshly wisdom (2 Cor 1:12). It should be exhibited in preaching the gospel (1 Thes 2:3-7), in acts of benevolence (Rom 12:8), concerning your own wisdom (1 Cor 3:18), concerning evil (Rom 16:19), and in all your conduct (2 Cor 1:12).

God, there are so many distractions today. It is easy to get caught up in what others think and have. Please help me shield my children from that. I pray that they appreciate all things and resist getting consumed with wordly things. I pray they relish the simple things in life.
